Production Snapshot

It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So whodunit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, CLUE is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.

This production of CLUE is sponsored by the Donald D Mateer Foundation (family of Chris Dowhan-Bailey).

The performance lasts approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

Arianna Engnell as Yvette

Arianna Engnell
Yvette

Arianna Engnell (Yvette) is beaming to be back at Open Book and with a literal dream cast. Open Book audiences may remember her as Kitty in “Georgiana & Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley.” Those who have seen her last year may have caught one of the four Shakespearean productions that she did in 2025: “Romeo & Juliet” as the Nurse (UnCovered Theatre), “The Merry Wives of Windsor” as Anne Page (SITA), “The Merry Wives of Windsor” as Mistress Page (SUA), & “Twelfth Night” as Olivia (Detroit Mercy). This little dreamer that could has previous credits including: “Yellow Boat” (UnCovered Theatre), “Hamlet”, “Twelfth Night”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Shakespeare Upon Avon). “We all thrive with art so it is and should be a collective effort to keep the arts alive. Some of the most joyful and brilliant art is produced in local theatres. Thank you for supporting such a beautiful form of art!”

Jan Cartwright as Mrs. Peacock

Jan Cartwright

At Open Book, favorite roles include Mrs. Reynolds in “The Wickhams,” Jean in “Good People,” and Hilla Rebay in “Bauer.” When not acting – or taking creative direction from her cat – Jan runs Cartwright Photography in Novi, specializing in headshots for actors and marketing imagery for local theatres and Businesses. She’s absolutely delighted to be back at Open Book – though if anyone asks, she was in the studio with the camera, not the candlestick, and is entirely blameless in all mysterious occurrences.
