Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (February 23 – March 18, 2018).
Some memories from the team:
Angie Kane’s exquisite skills as she directed this wonderful comedy. The Red Hat lady who fell off her chair laughing. The fantastic Wendy Hiller and I circling each other in the sisterly showdown of our lives. Bantering with the incomparable Lindel Salow as my brother/love interest and the pleasure of smashing his cup every night on stage. How Cheryl turned a $6.00 thrift store dress that was 4 sizes too big into my beautiful evening gown. Harley’s lighting at the end of the show as we looked out hopefully on a new life. – Connie Cowper
Talk about a quick turnaround! If I remember correctly, we had a little more than a week before we went into tech for this one. I also found out (the hard way) that some of the measurements on my CAD file for the theatre were incorrect, and had to scramble to make changes to accommodate this. The measurements have since been fixed, but that was a close one. I remember Krista telling me that audience members thought that the patio was made with actual brick tiles which felt good to hear! – Eric Niece
