Open Book Theatre Company is a new member of the Chamber of Commerce. We are a new professional theatre company currently performing in Southgate and we’d like to introduce ourselves to you by inviting you to our upcoming production, offering a discount on tickets, offering a special deal on our program advertising (but act fast, the deadline is this Friday!) and telling you a bit about what we do!
The second show in our season, the Tony Award Winning play Red about the artist Mark Rothko, runs December 5-13. Tickets are normally $20 or $15 for students and seniors, but Chamber members get $5 off any tickets purchased for the opening weekend (Dec 5 and 6 at 8pm and Dec 7 at 2pm). Use the code SWCRC when purchasing online for this special Chamber deal to appear!
Second Chance Season Tickets
We offered our audiences for our first show, Sylvia, the chance to apply the price of their tickets to a Second Chance Season Ticket, and we’re offering that same discount to chamber members, even if you missed Sylvia. You can see the remaining 3 shows in our season for only $50 ($40 for students/seniors). Learn more and order your tickets here. That’s quite a discount from our regular single show prices of $20/$15 (which is still a bargain for such great entertainment!)
Advertise in our Program
Special deal for Chamber Members
Advertise in our program for as little as $25! An ad in our program not only gets your business in front of our audience, but it supports the work we are doing to bring professional theatre downriver. As you surely know, arts and culture are an integral part of creating a community where people want to live and work. I’m offering Chamber members a special deal to include your ad in all 3 shows for the rest of our season: buy 2 ads, get one free, but you need to act fast. Our deadline for Red programs is this Friday: November 21st. If you get the digital ad copy to us by Friday you can either pay online or mail the check to us (we will give you a few days grace period on that check!) CLICK HERE to view and download the contract with the special offer.
We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit. We are a professional theatre, which means we hire professional artists with degrees and years of experience to direct, design and perform our shows. We are dedicated to telling stories that resonate in the lives of our Downriver audiences. We are starting with a four play season in 2014-2015, and looking to expand to outreach into schools, classes and workshops, and more. We dream of owning a space downriver and becoming a cultural center for this area. Are you familiar with The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea or The Tipping Point in Northville? These are great examples of what we are looking to build. Learn more about our staff and board and what we do on our website.
